An empty planet. ORDER Industries arrives.

Supermagnetic planets

The field is free. The weather is not.

These worlds have a liquid metallic core and spin fast enough that the molten metal churns. The churn makes a huge magnetic field — supermagnetism, effectively free induction and energy. The same spin and friction drive bad weather: wind, storms, constant lightning. Lightning is collected too.

Main energy sources:

With colossal energy you can run a COLLAPSE MACHINE. The machine needs that scale of power to collapse and uncollapse objects during teleport — cargo folded down, sent across the galactic network, expanded again at the far gate. Goods come in. Goods go out. Only some planets in a system are supermagnetic enough to host these portals. This colony is one of them.

Androids / ORDER — Lawful Neutral

Obey. Build. Repeat.

ORDER ships robots, raw resources, and frozen human DNA. The androids do not argue. First infrastructure, power, mines. When robots build robots, the loop never stops. The planet industrializes.

Colonization protocols fire. Androids raise birthing buildings and grow people from "ideal" DNA with accelerated growth. Archives of previous civilizations are baked straight into memory.

Elders / Star — Lawful Good

Managers of human chaos.

The liquid drains from a growth capsule. An Elder wakes. Ideal people. They barely age. Emotions stay low — feelings do not help big decisions. Human chaos is still required for the hard problems, so Elders act as managers: corporations, factories, colonization plans.

More people are cloned. Communities, cities, plants — all pointed at one goal: gather giant energy and build the COLLAPSE MACHINE, a node in the galactic teleport network. We're a link in the chain.

Ordinary people split

Elders reproduce the ordinary way. Offspring arrive with DNA errors, defects, and no baked archives. They learn the world like anyone else. Some disagree with the corporate portal rules and leave. From those breakaways the rest of the grid fills itself.

Heart-Cross / Militia — Neutral Good

Help first. Ask later.

Kind people. Ugly, sick, doesn't matter — as long as there's food and a roof, they help. Community first.

Resistance / Convoy — Chaotic Good

Do what feels right. Deal with the fallout later.

Groups with their own goals. They resist the corporations and the Elders, tear down buildings, hit cargo runs — no grand reason required. Not raiders. Just people convinced they're the good guys.

An Elder who breaks away and runs becomes Resistance. That is where the Convoy begins.

Raiders — Chaotic Neutral

Every people has them.

Slackers and drifters. Outcasts and idiots who rob and steal what they can and live by their own nonsense. No ideology worth writing down.

What the labs and portals leave behind

While humans grow in capsules, other ORDER divisions work. Botany and fauna teams force-start an ecosystem. An organic / DNA division keeps experimenting. Anything organic that rides a portal the wrong way comes back wrong.

Wild / Flora — True Neutral

No side. Just purpose, or none.

Robots seed flora and fauna across the planet. Wild animals. Lone wanderers. Wild androids that disconnected from ORDER and somehow kept their own odd goals — a cleaning unit that walked into the wasteland to keep scrubbing. Survival, and whatever tiny purpose they still have.

MORPHA — Lawful Evil

Population control at any cost.

Red and black. MORPHA is ORDER's organic / DNA division. From the DNA archives they grow the planet's fauna: lizards, pseudo-dogs, creatures altered from their archived forms. Crowds of people and robots under their control.

The most operational, dirtiest, still rule-bound group. Mutants — mutated people and organisms under their leash — sit inside MORPHA. Officially a division of ORDER Industries, so they cooperate with the Elders. Unofficially they still play dirty tricks on them for profit. Shared goals, mutual sabotage.

Insects — Neutral Evil

A swarm that shouldn't be this organized.

At first glance: ants, spiders, beetles. Then the pattern shows. They push as far as they can, hit settlements and cargo, spread through caves like a plague.

Dig long enough and a thin hint surfaces: someone — maybe a single someone — is steering them. Found once, if at all.

Corruption — Chaotic Evil

Don't bring organic matter through a portal.

Someone steps in. A leftover burger. A fly caught mid-teleport. Best case: organic mush, maybe mixed into metal, cracking a mechanism later. It never reconstructs back into what it was.

Worst case: the matter is corrupted. Someone bags it — "ew, someone died" — and leaves the box alone. Inside, it keeps infecting whatever isn't infected yet. Then the box. Then the walls, the floor. It eats through and becomes its own moving meat structure with unknown goals. It just grows. Spreads on contact. The only clean answer is eject it into space.
